Cat got your tongue?
May have seen a cat across town today that apparently speaks a little English...to back up, I first met the cat's owner a few weeks back and somehow we go to talking about cats...she perked up when told that a local resident who gives exceptional island tours by car sometimes takes customers by her house if they express any interest at all in cats...at her house, the visitors are treated to a spectacular assortment of cat tricks by her three felines before continuing on with the circumnavigation of the island...turns out that the owner of the first party has a cat who can talk...lifts his paw from the sitting position and says "Larry." Damn! Have not gotten all parties together as yet but hope to next summer and who knows, they might form a quartet...stay tuned, cat people of the world!
Year's end
Communication at the trickle right now...everyone somewhere else...and even in cab world, business, like me, has been hibernating...bright spot is visits from sons and daughter-in-law (NYC and LA) who encouraged me to start this blog (to enlight the world)...
After years of searching have managed to score a copy of The Three Hostages, first shown on BBC when I was in London...you know how it is, you get on these quests and they nag you forever...anyway, one down...
Kinda hard to settle down in Bar Harbor after being in NYC part of November...narrowly missed scoring Fake New York Times at Penn Station, but upon return nailed one from ebay...no one here has ever heard of the Yes Men, at least not until I got back from the city...one guy, a novelist, caught a ride with me to the airport and he actually got one in New York during Rush Hour, which I deliberately avoided, ergo, missing out on live handouts!
Lompoc open New Year's, a good thing since darkness strikes abt 4 and bars without a crowd, well, they close early...
